A native Oregonian, Captain Perry got his start fishing commercially in
the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Since the late 1960's he has logged
many years of sea time during which he has gained a knowledge of
seamanship that comes only with experience. His background in commercial
fishing, sailing, surfing, and windsurfing enhance his skill at sea.
In the early 1980's he began rebuilding his classic wooden sailboat "Viking,"
a 33 foot Colin Archer designed Pilot Cutter. In 1989 he sailed from Newport,
Oregon down the coast to Mexican waters.
After a year of cruising, he dropped anchor in Morro Bay, California where
he served aboard tugs, commercial fishing, and passenger vessels. Currently
Captain Perry is a Reserve Officer for the Morro Bay Harbor Patrol. He owns
and operates a yacht delivery business.
All deliveries are skippered by Captain Perry. Crew are experienced,
qualified and physically fit. Resume, references, and estimates available
on request.
